With over 16 years of experience in the industry, Nick Thayer is a seasoned pro when it comes to developing and executing hospitality operations. In 2005, Thayer started his 11 year career at Downtown Entertainment (later renamed The Spot On Group), where his success as a manager secured him the title of Director of Operations, and eventually Vice President of the company. Thayer’s proven leadership and operational skills brought him to the popular 8 Hospitality’s Joy District in 2016 as their Director of Operations and General Manager where he spent almost a year before teaming up with current business partner, Robbie Schloss in 2017 to open Shore Club Chicago, while still consulting for two of Chicago’s premier night clubs. Thayer’s operational background, mixed with Schloss’ finance background and creative mind made them a impressive duo whose combined concept, JoJo’s ShakeBAR, is seeing massive success.

After graduating with a degree in Economics from the University of Kansas, Robbie Schloss left his job in wealth management to purse a career in hospitality, merging his financial background with his creative mind and passion for the industry. He has spent the last 14 years creating, operating, and consulting for restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. In 2009, Schloss built his own entertainment development company that focused on event planning and promotions for young professions while simultaneously consulting for various restaurants around Chicago. In 2017, Schloss teamed up with current business partner Nick Thayer to take their combined skills to the next level, opening the wildly successful: Shore Club Chicago. The duo then formed Castle Hospitality and chose to open their most exciting concept yet in 2019: JoJo’s ShakeBAR which will have 7 stores across 4 states by the end of 2023 and dozens more in the coming years.
